Off her debut Album ‘Araba’, “Why” is an Afro-fusion masterpiece with Reggae sentiments which will catch you in your feelings. It has a wonderful grove to it which I believe should be on your playlist if it isn’t on it.

Off another project by Alternative/Indie artiste Worlasi and music producer Drvmroll they call “Dios”. ‘Guinness’ is one of those songs that carries a lot of contagious vibes that you wouldn’t have a choice than to leave on repeat.


  • Open Gate – Kuami Eugene

Kuami Eugene – Open Gate

One of the biggest songs this year. ‘Open Gate’ is one of those tunes that will get you up onto your dancing feet regardless of your mood. With its infectious call ‘Wele’, ‘Seb3’, ‘Kontomire’, you will be singing along the music before you know it.


  • No Dulling – Keche ft Kuami Eugene


‘No Dulling’ is a tune that will turn up a party. The song is a straight up party jam that has the ability to making an event come alive. The song literally asked “where the party dey today?” Keche and Kuami Eugene did a wonderful job on this one.


  • Yawa – R2bees ft Sarkodie

Haven’t heard from them in a while, R2bees blessed us again with another hot banger. Teaming up with no stranger, R2bees and Sarkodie served their entire fanbase and the nation a solid banger which only gets better the more you listen to it.


  • Happy Day – Sarkodie ft Kuami Eugene

Sarkodie Happy Day ft Kuami Eugene

This is the song of the moment. The song that many are saying is Sarkodie’s endorsement for the incumbent party and president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo. However, despite the controversy surrounding the song, it doesn’t change the fact that it is a very beautiful crafted masterpiece which you should have in your playlist.

Been consistently working ever since he dropped his smash hit “Killy Killy”, the young singer has impressed his audience with nothing but good music to entertain them. This year looks promising for the new lad as he is tipped to be one of the promising new talents to take the globe by storm musically.

New Music: Kwame AK – Big Poppa (Prod. By Mikemillz)

Ghanaian afrobeats and Afropop artiste, Kwame AK has officially released his debut single of the year titled “Big Poppa” off his yet to be released EP, “Yours Now”. Listen HERE.

Big Poppa is a slow jam, with African ballads and African sounds that romantically encapsulates the attitude a man in love shows towards his woman. This masterpiece was mixed and produced by Mikemillz.

Born Kwame Akrasi, Kwame AK Spent his child in Adenta, a suburb of Accra. He had his secondary education at the Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (Presec, Legon) and furthered to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) where he spent just a year. He completed his education in the United States.

Having a great passion for music at a young age, his early influences were the old hip life artistes such as Reggie Rockstone, Akatakyie, Akyeame, and Samini to name a few, his most recent influences and inspirations are Stonebwoy, Wizkid, and Burna Boy, he says the works of these artists is a great motivator for him to do the music well.

Listen to Afrozons first weekly Afrobeats Top 10 chart




It is official! Sheila O’s Afrozons—in partnership with Mixcloud—debuts the first Afrobeats weekly top 10 charts. Using algorithms and BDS Nielsen data for validity, Afrozons determines the exposure to the US audience through spins on terrestrial radio in the US and digital streams from all digital sources in the US (Apple Music, Spotify, TIDAL and more). 

Appearing on this week’s list are recent releases by Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Burna Boy and more. Stay tuned as we roll out more for the weeks ahead. Afrobeats has been a growing genre of music for a few years now, and the genre shows no signs of slowing down. In the US, specifically, it was a big deal to understand and track the growth and consumption of the genre.

The weekly tracking period will begin Friday (to accommodate new releases) to Thursday. The charts will come out every Monday. This tracking period also applies to compiling online streaming data, radio airplay, which, unlike sales figures and streaming, is readily available on a real-time basis.

Trigmatic releases much-awaited ‘’Pipeano’’ EP




Following weeks of much anticipation, Trigmatic finally dropped his new 6-track EP over the weekend to mark his 36th birthday. In a series of posts and tweets, he highlighted the inspiration for the new EP – ‘’Pipeano’’ spring from his recent trip to Takoradi. Apparently, ‘’Pipeano’’ is the name of a popular junction in the oil city of Takoradi.

‘’Pipeano’’ reflects themes of love, frustration, resilience, and hope amid its creditworthy production. 5 of the EP’s 6 songs were produced by Takoradi-based producer, Elorm Beat, with the remaining song credited to Swit.

Trigmatic’s new record also features some of Takoradi’s finest musicians. Fans will hear the likes of Pappy Kojo, Township, Ayma, Ayesem, and another solid collaboration with Worlasi atop a song titled, ‘Diplomatic Teef’.
